Jerry spent most of his younger years in Manila and attended college at San Beda College in the Philippines. At the height of his career, the family moved to Baguio City where he was assigned as Manager of a famous Hotel. In 1997, the family immigrated to the United States.
Family and close friends knew that Jerry was an introvert person who spent most of his time reading and answering crossword puzzles. He played bowling and basketball.
He was a man of few words but with a good sense of humor. He was a man of dignity and principle, and a dedicated family man. He wanted only the best for his family.
Jerry is married to Helen Basco and they were blessed with two children, Dennis and Donna May. He is a grandfather to Angela, Alvin, Mia, Michael and Marie.
