Jeffrey Newman

Jeffrey M. Newman, affectionately known as Jeff, was born on September 21, 1953, in Long Beach, California. He passed away peacefully on November 30, 2024, in LaQuinta, California, after bravely battling liver disease, with his beloved family by his side.

Jeff dedicated 18 years of his career to Sony Electronics, where he excelled as a Sales and Marketing Manager. His professional journey was marked by hard work and dedication, earning him the respect of colleagues and clients alike. Beyond his career, Jeff was a vibrant soul filled with humor, making those around him laugh and smile with his infectious personality.

A devoted family man, Jeff treasured time spent with his wife, Debbie Newman, with whom he shared 28 wonderful years. He took immense pride in being a father to his son, Jacob Newman, who is now 24 years old. Together, they created numerous cherished memories, often enjoying concerts, sporting events, and traveling as a family.

Among Jeff's proudest accomplishments was his involvement with Spirit AZA, where he played a key role in coordinating their 50-year reunion in 2022. His commitment to community and connection was evident in all aspects of his life.

Jeff is survived by his loving wife, Debbie, and their son, Jacob. He is preceded in death by his brother, Stuart Newman; his mother, Bonnie Newman; and his father, Sanford Newman.

Funeral services to honor Jeff's remarkable life will be held on December 10, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Forest Lawn in Long Beach, located at 1500 East San Antonio Drive, Long Beach, CA 90807. Family and friends are invited to join in celebrating the enduring legacy of a man who brought joy and laughter to all who knew him.
