**Obituary**
On April 28, 2024, the world lost a beloved soul with the passing of Jed Fernandez in Rancho Mirage. Born on December 10, 1979, in Cebu, Philippines, Jed was a man of many talents and passions that left a lasting impact on all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Jed's journey through life was marked by dedication and hard work. He graduated from Buena Park High School in 1998 and went on to have a fulfilling career. He spent several years as a dispatcher for the LAPD before dedicating 11 years of service at the DWP as a Steam Plant Operator. His work ethic, reliability, and commitment to his roles earned him the respect and admiration of his colleagues.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Jed will be remembered for his vibrant personality and infectious laughter. He had a kind and welcoming spirit that could light up any room. Always armed with a quick wit and sense of humor, Jed was known as the life of the party. His selflessness knew no bounds as he consistently offered help and support to family, friends, and neighbors without hesitation.
In his free time, Jed indulged in various hobbies that brought him joy. From playing online video games to building his own gaming computer, he had a keen interest in technology. His passion for cars was evident through his love for purchasing and fixing them. Additionally, Jed found solace in playing volleyball, showcasing his competitive yet fun-loving nature.
Family meant everything to Jed. He cherished spending special holidays surrounded by loved ones and embarked on adventures with his partner Amy to Palm Springs, Vegas, or any sports events.
Jed leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter that will be forever cherished by his surviving family: Marian (mother), Mario (father), Kathi (sister), Jeff (brother), Kirstie (sister), his partner Amy, Hiro and Tank, along with countless friends who were fortunate enough to have known him.
Services to celebrate Jed's life will be held at Forest Lawn - Cypress in Cypress, CA. A visitation will take place on May 10, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM followed by a Funeral Service on May 11, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Patriots Chapel.
