Ruth "Jeanne" Blakely
03/29/34 – 12/31/14

Our beloved Jeanne, also lovingly known to many as "Nee Nee" passed away peacefully, surrounded by her children, their spouses and grandchildren in the early hours of New Year's Eve at St. John's, after a sudden illness.

Jeanne was born in Lincoln Park, Michigan, to Anthony and Filomena Sdao. She made her way to California, where she met and married Cassius Clay Blakely, whom we called "Bus". They had three children, which they raised on the Westside, ending up in Pacific Palisades. Jeanne was predeceased by Bus in 2006. She was later blessed by the introduction to her current husband, George Khoury of Loma Linda. They married in 2009 at the Santa Monica SDA church and celebrated to the moon and back at the Riviera Country Club where she was a member.

Jeanne was the angel of angels to many. She lived an active life and adored God, family, friends, her four legged companion Bitsie, cooking and world travels.

Jeanne is survived by her husband George, son Scott Blakely of Pacific Palisades, (wife Mary, daughters Daryl and Dylan, son Clay), daughter Tami Wolter of Pasadena (husband Ron, daughter Ali and son Caz), daughter Julie Rothgeb of La Canada (husband Jim, daughter Jillian and son Jack). She is also survived by her sisters Ellen Indelicato of Fallbrook, CA, Irene Thayer of Sequim, WA, Edie Hammonds of Indianapolis, IN and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, brothers Vincent, Virgil and Tony, and sister Gilda.

There will be a visitation from 10:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. on Friday, January 9th at Forest Lawn, Glendale, CA. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 10th, 2015 at the Santa Monica SDA church: 1254 19th St., Santa Monica, CA 90404.

God has received our Angel and she will be deeply missed.
