d. March 28, 2013

Jeanette "Jennie" Mary Mace passed away at her home at Casa Glendale on March 28, at the age of 93. Her grandson, Jonathan, was holding her hand as she passed on to join her beloved husband, Joe, who had pre-deceased her in September of 2011.

Born in Hartford, CT to Joseph and Mary Cusanelli, the youngest of three brothers and three sisters, all now deceased, she lived in Glendale, CA for 56 years, though she visited Connecticut every year to enjoy the magnificent sights of the changing Fall colors; but more importantly, to visit her many family members who still lived there. She had a strong and constant love of her family and birth state.

Jennie was a soft-spoken, sweet, and gentle soul to all who knew her. A quote in her school yearbook reads:

"The song, "Dark Eyes", might have been written just for Jennie, and her dark hair and skin and her small face suggest another Nile charmer. She is one of our school's quietest characters, never heard from even when her teachers call on her! Under this false front, however, she possesses an ability to write good poetry and a charming friendliness and responsiveness."

Jennie worked during her younger married life, until she started her family. She is survived by two daughters, Sandra and Lucille, and a son, Tommy, as well as her many nieces and nephews. Her life was totally devoted to her family whom she dearly loved, and she welcomed with open arms and huge hugs every one of her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Jennie will be in our hearts forever and missed always. We know there is a wonderful Cusanelli family reunion happening now, and we know that she is at peace.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, April 6 at Faith Chapel, Forest Lawn - Hollywood Hills.
