Jean C. Walker, 92, born on March 11, 1921, in Berry, Kentucky passed this life on August 25, 2013

Jean Catherine (Pogue) Walker passed to a better place this past August 25th. She was a Wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. Everyone who knew her will never forget her sweet smile and her kind heart. Loving wife of James P Walker Jr. She leaves behind son, Eric J Walker, grandchildren Lyle L Walker, Erik P Walker and John Brough. Daughter, Catherine E Higgins. grandchildren James M O'Higgins, Joseph W Higgins, Great-grandchildren, James M Higgins Jr., Austin B Higgins, Jackson W Higgins, and Katla D Higgins.

She leaves us with a wonderful legacy of how we all should try to live our lives. She enjoyed all of what life had to offer her and gave great love to her family and friends. Her memories include a wealth of beautiful music and many writings of which an abundance were her own. Our lives will be forever brightened by the thought of her wisdom and her being so grounded and so true, (in a difficult circumstance) we can all pause and ask ourselves, What would Mom, Granny have done right now?

We will miss her dearly for the rest of our lives. But we are at peace knowing she is in heaven with those that have passed before her. May God rest your soul Mom, we love you and will forever miss you.
