Jean Marie Lambert Spillane, 75, of Danville, New Hampshire peacefully passed away on October 12 with her family by her side. Born on September 8, 1940 in Medford, MA, Jean was the daughter of Gertrude Dyer and Joseph Lambert. She graduated from Lynn English High School. She married her childhood sweetheart, Walter F. Spillane Jr., and raised her family of four children in Tewksbury, MA. In June, Walter and Jean celebrated their 55th Wedding Anniversary.
Jean was an accomplished artist, a woman of deep faith, and the heart of the Spillane family. Whether she was preparing a holiday meal for her family, knitting a cabled afghan for a new grandchild, or making rosaries for those less fortunate on the other side of the globe, Jean will be remembered as a kind, generous, and loving soul that touched the lives of everyone she knew. She was a communicant of St. Anne's in Hampstead, New Hampshire and a member of the prayer shawl group.
Jean leaves behind her loving husband Walter, daughter Theresa and husband David Allen of Alexandria, VA, daughter Lisa Hommel of Fitchburg, MA, son Thomas and his wife Wendy Spillane of Hudson, NH, daughter Bonnie and husband Rubén Gaztambide of Toronto, ON as well as grandchildren Caitlin Ghoshal, William Allen, Keri and Michael Hommel, Melanie and Katrina Spillane, and Mercedes and Alejandro Gaztambide. She also leaves behind two sisters, Susan Eastman of Indiantown, FL and Phyllis Duffy of Grand Rapids, MI as well as beloved in-laws, spouses of grandchildren, step-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and dear friends too numerous to even count.
Family and friends are invited to attend Mrs. Spillane's Life Celebration on Friday, October 16, 2015 from 5-8 p.m. at Brookside Chapel and Funeral Home, 116 Main St. Plaistow, NH. Her funeral will begin from the funeral home on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at 9 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10 a.m. at St. Anne's Church, 26 Emerson Ave. in Hampstead, NH. Burial will follow at in St. Mary's Cemetery in Lynn, MA.
