Plaistow, NH: Jean R. (Vaiksnoris) Cash, 58, a resident of Plaistow for twenty-five years, died on February 27, 2014 at the Merrimack Valley Hospital in Haverhill, MA.

Born in Lawrence, MA and raised and educated in Haverhill, MA, daughter of the late Algird and Jennie H. (Shalkevich) Vaiksnoris, she graduated from Haverhill High School with the Class of 1973 and went on to receive a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, and a Master's Degree in education from Notre Dame College, Manchester, NH.

Mrs. Cash was an elementary school teacher in the Haverhill, MA school system for fifteen years. She previously worked in the Medford, MA school system and at the Bakie School in Kingston, NH.

A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Mrs. Cash was a member of St. Luke the Evangelist Parish at Mary Mother of the Church, Newton, NH, the Haverhill Teachers Association, and the Massachusetts Teachers Association. She enjoyed gardening and crossword puzzles and especially enjoyed spending time with her two grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, John P. "Jack" Cash; a son, Patrick J. Cash of Plaistow; two daughters, Kathryn R. "Kayti" Cash of Los Angeles, CA, and Elizabeth R. "Liz" Halloran and her husband Paul of Plaistow; a brother, Victor Bolis of Lawrence, MA; a sister, Mary Snow of Salisbury, MA; two grandchildren, Jacob and Jack Halloran; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her sister, Joan R. (Vaiksnoris) Casey.

Relatives and friends may call on Monday, March 3, 2014 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main Street, Route 121A, Plaistow, NH. Her funeral will begin on Tuesday, March 4, 2104 at 9 a.m. from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Mary Mother of the Church, Newton, NH. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery, Haverhill, MA. Memorial donations may be made to the Make A Wish Foundation, Gift Processing Center, P.O. Box 6062, Albert Lea, MN 56007.
