Jazmine Morales

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Jazmine Rae Lontok Morales, who left us too soon at the age of 25 on January 19, 2025. Jazmine was a bright light in the lives of all who knew her, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and unwavering love.

Born on March 5, 1999, in Harbor City, Jazmine was the daughter of Edwin Morales, Reubelyn Lontok, and Jenny Morales. Starting from a young age, Jazmine grew up with a spirit of adventure and energy. She was raised with endless love and support by her family and she always had an abundance of gratitude for everyone. Jazmine's childhood consisted of baking cakes and cookies, watching Powerpuff Girls, reading chapter books and Wattpad, and watching Wizards of Waverly Place and Victorious. One of her childhood favorite snacks was parmesan cheese in a bowl. 

She was always proactive in her schooling and maintained high academics at Playhouse School, Christ The King Catholic School and Holy Family High School. During her time at Holy Family High School, she was in a variety of clubs and sports such as Track & Field, Volleyball, Key Club, and Yearbook. Despite her busy schedule, she would also have a lot of fun with her high school squad-- whether it was hanging out at the Americana and the Glendale Galleria, attending school dances, going out to get food and boba, or simply spending time at her friend’s house. She was a loyal and genuine friend to many, and had a rare gift for making others feel seen, heard, and valued. No matter the obstacles she may have faced, she approached life with a unique blend of optimism and courage.

In 2017, Jazmine got accepted and attended the #1 public university in the United States - University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). She graduated with a BA in Sociology & Minor in Labor Studies. She began her career in Human Resources and was working at an executive search and leadership advisory firm as a Talent Delivery Associate.

Jazmine will be remembered for her deep connections with family and friends. She had a love for travel, eating out, attending concerts and festivals, and most importantly- making memories with loved ones who defined her impactful life. Her infectious laughter, bright smile, and adventurous spirit will be sorely missed by all who were lucky enough to know her. 

Jazmine is survived by her parents, her younger brother (Drake) , her younger sister (Sativa), many aunts, uncles, cousins, her partner (Gabe), and close friends. Jazmine's light will forever shine in our hearts, and though she is no longer with us, her spirit will live on through the beauty she created and the love she shared.

Rest in peace, to a beautiful and loving daughter, sister, niece, partner and friend. You will never be forgotten and forever be missed.
