Jaylin Ogle fondly known as Jay was born on September 4th, 2002. He was raised in the San Fernando Valley area of Los Angeles by his mother Amanda. During his brief 21 years on earth Jaylin was an Actor, an athlete and a man of God who loved his family and friends with a special kind of pureness. He was a bright light in his community and everyone around him.
A talented actor, Jaylin made a mark in the entertainment industry at a young age through his roles in various TV shows and movies such as “Criminal Minds”, “Too Old to Die Young”, “Ballers”, “Balloon”, “Grown Folks”, and “Roots”. His charisma on screen was undeniable, captivating audiences with his performances.
Not only was Jaylin a gifted actor, but he was also a graduate of Heritage Christian High School, where he showcased his love for playing football and baseball. He also sang in the choir, built his relationship with God and created forever bonds with his friends. He was the kid who always had a joke to tell, a smile on his face and was there is uplift his classmates and teammates.
Jaylin’s personality was a true reflection of his inner warmth and kindness. Described as fun, charismatic, loving, and thoughtful, he had a unique ability to make others feel truly cherished and joyful in his presence. Whether it was sharing laughter with friends or comforting loved ones in times of need, Jaylin’s impact on those around him was profound.
Outside of his professional and academic pursuits, Jaylin found the most joy in riding his motorcycle, often expressing how free it made him feel. Coaching youth football in the community for the past several years was a passion for Jay that brought him great joy as well. He also loved bowling with friends and family, snowboarding with his mom and sister, and exploring new destinations through travel - he embraced life with a sense of adventure that inspired others to follow suit.
Tragically, Jaylin’s life was cut short due to a heartbreaking accident. While doing what he loved most - riding his motorcycle - he was struck by a drunk driver. Despite the circumstances of his passing, Jaylin’s spirit continues to live on in the memories of those who knew and cherished him. Jaylin Ogle is survived by his mother Amanda Watson, grandmother Angie Ogle, father Deantee Copeland, sister Monae Owen, and a host of family and friends who deeply mourn his loss. In their time of grief, may they find solace in the legacy of love and joy that Jaylin leaves behind.
