Janice Jackson

Janice Jackson, 83, born on April 20, 1940, in Los Angeles, CA, United States, passed away peacefully at her beloved home on August 19, 2023. She resided in Azusa, CA at the time of her passing.

Janice was born to Father Reid Harry Butler, and Mother Arvilla Martha Butler.  She was the second of six children.  Brother Ronald Butler (spouse Anne), brother Phillip Butler (spouse Liz), Sister Cheri White, Brother Richard Butler, and baby Sister Eilleen Cranmer (spouse Roger).  

Janice married James Lyman Jackson, and through that marriage had six children: Rhonda Lynn Tew (spouse Paul), James Lyman Jackson Jr., Randall Scott Jackson (spouse Lisa), Michael Allen Jackson (spouse Andrea), Steven Timothy Jackson, and Darrell Richard Jackson.  Janice had 17 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren.

Janice was a loving wife, mother and grandmother to her family.  She will be missed.

Janice was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had great faith in her Father in Heaven and her savior Jesus Christ.  She served faithfully in many callings in the church including Primary teacher to Relief Society visiting teaching coordinator.  She loved the sisters in her ward and served them until she could no longer get around.

A graveside service will be held at the Forest Lawn Cemetery located in Covina Hills 21300 Via Verde St. Covina, California 91724 on Tuesday September 5th at 9:30am.
