James Young Lee, 68, born on January 04, 1957, in Choncheon South Korea. James passed away on April 19th, 2025 having been called by his Lord.
Jame's life began from humble beginnings. He was the youngest child of a total of 10 siblings and was often seen as the "golden" son. From early adolescence, James became interested in Tae Kwon Do through his brothers Bryant Young Lee and Henry Young Lee which propelled his success in the Martial Arts Industry upon immigrating to the United States in 1972. Since his arrival to the United States, James Lee dedicated more than 30 years to Martial Arts instruction and was one of the founding members of "Yi Brothers" Tae Kwon Do in the mid-1970's.
James was a dedicated outdoorsman; spending much of his recreational time fishing, camping, traveling, and enjoying nature for its beauty.
James Young Lee was married to Young In Yun until the time of her passing in 1996.
James is survived by his beloved Ae (Hannah) Yi , who reverently cared for him and stood by his side until the time of his passing, his daughter, Jenie Stella Lau(Lee) and son, Samuel Stalter(Lee).
