Jim passed away at home in Duarte, CA on November 25, 2022. He is survived by his wife Vera, daughter Julie McNutt (Paul), stepson Michael Cortez (Petra) and grandchildren Shamus Berry, River McNutt, Christina Cortez, Jessica Cortez, Christian Cortez, and Jolie Cortez. He was preceded in death by his son James Samuel Morris.
He retired in 2000 as Street Maintenance Superintendent for the City of Pasadena Public Works after a rewarding 40-year career. He was a genuinely a nice man. He will be missed by family, friends and neighbors.
A memorial service will be held on Friday January 6, 2023, at 1:30 P.M. Followed by a graveside service.
