James Irwin, a devoted husband and father, passed away peacefully on April 27, 2026, in Los Angeles, California, at the age of 82.

Born on December 28, 1943, in San Diego, California, James lived a life defined by dedication, service, and quiet strength. He proudly served in the United States Army, carrying that sense of discipline and commitment with him throughout his life.

Following his military service, James built a remarkable career as a respected pharmacist spanning more than 50 years. He was known for his deep knowledge, steady presence, and genuine care for those he served. His work was not just a profession, but a lifelong commitment to helping others.

Above all, James was a devoted family man. He is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 30 years, Sosse, with whom he shared a deep and enduring bond. He was a proud father to his sons, Dennis and Robbie, and a loving stepfather to his daughters, Christina and Rosette. He was also a cherished father-in-law to Robbie’s wife, Heloisa, and a proud grandfather to Clark and Andrew. His family was the center of his world, and he will be remembered for his loyalty, guidance, and unwavering support.

James will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His legacy of service, integrity, and love will live on through his family and the many lives he touched.

A private funeral service will be held on May 13, 2026, at 12:30 p.m. at Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills, with a reception to follow.
