James Henderson Edwards

James "Jim" Henderson Edwards, 76, passed away Tuesday, August 6, 2013. He was born July 25, 1937 to James and Odell Edwards in Shreveport, Louisiana. He resided in Huntington Beach, California at the time of his passing.

James enlisted in the Navy when he was 17 years young and was decorated with the China Service Medal and the National Defense Service Medal. After serving he made California his home.

In the 1960's James began a long career during and after the military in computer programming. James was a hardworking man that was dedicated to his family. He loved going to both Disneyland and Disney World quite often. He also loved a good Buffet like no other. In his later years he enjoyed being with his 3 dogs Jacko, Toto and Coco.

James is survived by his wife, Jane Chieu; daughter, Michelle Lynn Edwards-Sherman; daughter Wendy Lynn Pozo; grandchildren, Sean Madyson Sherman, Carlos Pozo and great-grandson; sister, Vivian Edwards Jones; aunts Avis and Arlena Toms; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. James was preceded in death by his parents and sister Evelyn Lavon Fondren.
Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Lawn, Cypress, California.
