Jaio Sharma

On June 24, 2020, Jaio (Kasinauth) Sharma, loving brother, father, grandfather, and uncle passed away at Sherman Oaks Hospital in California. A funeral service will be held on July 8, 2020 at 10:00 am at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale, California. Jaio, the son of Latchman and Agnes Sharma, was born on November 21, 1945 in Mahaicony, Guyana. He was a respected and beloved teacher in Guyana for several years. In 1974, he obtained a honorary Bachelor of Science degree from Vanier College at York University in Toronto, Canada. In 1979, he graduated with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Southern California and was an active member of the Theta Chapter of the Rho Chi Society (Pharmaceutical Honor Society). Jaio was a dedicated pharmacist in California and Florida. He retired after 28 years of service. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He loved fishing and was an orchid enthusiast. Jaio will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his 2 sons, Neil Sharma (Angeline) and Roy Sharma (Christine); 3 grandchildren, James Sharma, Derek Sharma, and Kirin Sharma; 5 brothers, John Sharma (Leila), Balkaran Sharma (Pamela), Dendial Sharma (Lynette), Ramdin Sharma (Angenie), and Chetram (Deodat) Sharma; 2 sisters, Chandra Gopiechand (Lennox) and Sati Sharma. He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 sisters, Indermatie Somwaru and Randi Piette.
