Jack Rockwell, devoted husband, father, grandfather, entrepreneur, and successful businessman, passed away peacefully on January 6, 2026, one year and two days after the loss of his beloved wife, Karen Rockwell. He was 84 years old.
Born on May 19, 1941, to Glenn and Rosella Rockwell in Fayette County, Jack was the youngest of five children. He grew up in and around Masontown in a hardworking farming community, where he developed the resilience and work ethic that defined his life. After high school, Jack moved to California, where he met Karen. They eloped to Las Vegas in 1963 and built a life centered on family and hard work, raising four children together.
Jack began his career selling shoes at Sears before moving into roles at Mattel and later into hospital and medical supply sales. In the mid-1970s, he founded MK Products, later Rockwell Medical Supply, building a successful healthcare supply business through dedication, integrity, and strong relationships.
Jack faced life’s hardships with quiet strength, including early family loss, the loss of triplets Alfred, Rosella, and Harriet, and rebuilding his business after a warehouse fire.
Known for his generosity, Jack often helped employees, friends, and others without seeking recognition. He was tough, funny, loyal, and hardworking, with a gentle heart beneath his strong exterior. He loved animals, adventure, travel, and time with family.
Jack is survived by his four children: Kimberly Clark, Kelly Conway, Kris Read-Rockwell (Trudie Read-Rockwell), and Michael Rockwell (Genette Rockwell); his sister, Sandra Franks; 16 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Jack’s legacy is one of resilience, opportunity, and love. His lessons live on through the lives he touched.
