In memory of Ivete "Billa" Basso:
With heavy hearts, we bid farewell to a remarkable woman whose life was a tapestry woven with love, adventure, and creativity. Ivete Basso, known affectionately as Billa, left this world on April 20, 2024, in Palmdale, CA, leaving behind a legacy that will forever be cherished.
Born on April 5, 1950, in Porto Alegre, Brazil, Ivete's journey was one of passion and purpose. She pursued her dreams relentlessly, attending Unisinos in Brazil with a focus in Biology and later obtaining an Associate's Degree in Digital Photography from Antelope Valley College. Ivete was not just an entrepreneur; she was a soul captivated by the art of photography. Her talent shone brightly as she graced the pages of National Geographic online articles with her breathtaking travel photographs.
Throughout her life, Ivete embodied strength and devotion. A devoted follower of Jesus Christ, she showered her family with boundless care and unwavering love. For 48 years, she stood by the side of her beloved husband Elvino Basso, nurturing a bond that stood the test of time. Known for her resilience and fighting spirit, Ivete faced life's challenges head-on until her very last breath.
Ivete's spirit thrived on adventure and exploration. From capturing exquisite moments behind her camera lens to embarking on culinary escapades in the kitchen, she exuded a zest for life that was truly infectious. Her wanderlust knew no bounds, always ready with a packed bag and an insatiable curiosity to discover the beauty the world had to offer.
She leaves behind a profound void in the hearts of her loved ones. In Heaven, she is reunited with her parents Stefan and Maria Ostrowski. Cherishing her memory are her adoring husband Elvino, sons Alexandre and Eduardo, son-in-law Mike, daughter Debora, daughters-in-law Rita and Monique and five grandchildren who brought light into her life.
A celebration of Ivete's life will take place at the Forest Lawn - Glendale - Little Church of the Flowers in Glendale, CA on May 25, 2024. The Funeral Service will be held at 1:30 PM to honor a life well-lived—a life filled with love, laughter, and indelible memories.
In honoring Ivete's legacy, let us remember her as a beacon of light whose spirit continues to shine bright in our hearts. May her passion for life and unwavering love inspire us all to embrace each moment with courage and grace. Rest in peace mom; your presence will be deeply missed but eternally felt.
