Isid B Parducho

Isidro “Sid” Borja Parducho, born January 2, 1931, was called by God on March 13, 2023. He was the elder brother to Martin, who he will joyfully meet in heaven with his Inay and Tatay. Born in Tanauan, Batangas, Philippines, Sid earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Far Eastern University in the Philippines.

Sid is survived by his wife of over 63 years, Lucy; children, May, Faith, and Milo; grandchildren, Nathan, Kristopher, Megan, Nicholas, and Hannah; and great-grandchildren Grace and Gabriel. He loved his children dearly, however, when Sid had grandchildren, his heart was filled with great happiness. Then, when he had great-grandchildren, Sid’s heart overflowed with immense joy beyond words. The family teased him about this, but knew his love was limitless and cherished him for it.

Sid had a zest for life, loving to travel, eat, drink, and spend time with family and friends. He and Lucy were blessed to experience many international adventures: Italy, Australia, Greece, Brazil, Japan, Jerusalem, Germany, Spain, just to name a few. They also traveled many times back to the Philippines for the Century Golf Tournaments and to visit family. Most recently, Sid took his entire family on a weeklong Mexican Riviera cruise and Cancun vacation. Interested in trying different restaurants and cuisines, Sid tasked his children with finding new places to eat and they gladly accepted. 

No matter the occasion, Sid always kept his house open to loved ones. When they came to visit, they were guaranteed to be greeted with a beautiful smile, be served wine and liquor, and enjoy hours of great conversations with lots of laughter. They certainly left happy after their visit.

Sid loved golf. The family had many golf outings and Sid played regularly with his friends. It’s only fitting that this highlight is mentioned. On June 1, 1999, Sid achieved a hole in one at Los Feliz Par-3 Golf Course, 94 yards, pitching wedge, 5^th hole.   

It wouldn’t be a complete picture of his life if his nieces, nephews, godchildren, brother’s grandchildren, cousins, distant relatives, friends, caregivers, physical therapist, financial advisor, colleagues, and acquaintances weren’t mentioned. Sid positively impacted so many lives. He made long lasting impressions with his love, friendship, kind words, and wisdom… unless you were a telemarketer (who he saved his most ‘colorful’ language for).

Sid leaves a legacy of love and laughter. Let’s continue to celebrate his life by living accordingly. Cheers and God’s Blessings.
