Mr. Isaias Querrer Pulido was born on July 6, 1948 in a small town of Bauang, La Union in the Philippines. He is the sixth child and fourth son born to Mr. Alfredo Pulido and Ms. Mauricia Querrer. He studied his basic education at Paringao Elementary in Bauang, his secondary education at Saint Louis All Boys High School and graduated with a degree of Bachelor of Science in Education in 1970 from Saint Louis University, both are located in Baguio City, Philippines.
In 1973, he met a very stern but beautiful ER nurse who goes by the name of Dita, at an emergency room of Ilocos Training and Regional Medical Center (ITRMC) when he was brought in due to a car accident injury. They both “accidentally” fell in love and were married in January of 1979.
Although Dita arrived here first, they both settled in the United States in December of 1981. As a very skilled craftsman during his time, Isaias entered into various types of factory jobs with supervisory positions until he settled in as a mechanical technician and setting up shop in a two-door garage unit, attending to the vehicle maintenances for the locals of the city of Carson and the different Filipino communities around the South Bay area of California from the late 1980s until the mid-2000s.
A well-known personality in the surrounding region, Isaias was known in the community as “Jun” and “Kapitan/Kaps” and was highly sociable and well respected from the different walks of life. In the latter half of 2019, he was diagnosed with kidney failure and was succumbed to undergo dialysis for tri-base weekly period.
After receiving the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick and the Final Absolution, he peacefully joined the Creator in his sleep on a very windy and stormy day of February 21, 2023 at the age of 74.
He is survived by his wife Bernardita “Dita/Edith” and his children, Reverend Bryan Paul and Judith (Steve) and grandchild Isaiah Elias.
