Obituary: Isabelita Villarica Vasquez
Isabelita Villarica Vasquez, a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and cherished friend to many, passed away Monday, October 7, 2024 (the Feast of the Queen of the most Holy Rosary), at the age of 79. She was born to Roberto and Emilia Villarica on October 25, 1944, in Santiago Laguna, Philippines. She was preceded in death by her brother Valentino Villarica, Emilberto Villarica, and sister Antonia Suarez. Isabelita has lived a life full of love, faith, and dedication.
After graduating from the University of the East with a Degree in Dentistry, she moved to the United States. In California, she and her husband Favio established their own successful dental practice in Highland Park. Isabelita was known for her strong conviction and spiritual guidance that continued her passion for sharing her faith. Whether in church groups, bible studies, church vigils or conversations with her patients, she always found ways to express the importance of the Blessed Mother and Jesus in her life. Everyday she found ways to share her faith, and encourage others to continue to pray.
She was a long time member of St Ignatius Church and was very active in the Filipino community. She began the propagation of over 30 prayer groups to spread the devotion to Our Lord of Pardon. She was also Vice President of the Blue Army for four years, propagating the devotion to Our Lady of Fatima.
Her legacy of faith, kindness, and love will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
Isabelita is survived by her children David Vasquez of San Diego and daughter Tessie (Corey her husband ) Hutcheson and her beloved grandchildren Connor Hutcheson and Haley Hutcheson, living in Ocala Florida.
Events:
Friday, November 8th A visitation will be held from 10 am to 3 pm in the Glendale Forest Lawn Main Mortuary building 2nd floor (1712 South Glendale Ave, Glendale). A vigil will follow from 5 pm to 8 pm at the Church of the Recessional at Forest Lawn in Glendale.
Saturday, November 9th A visitation service to honor Isabelita’s life will be held from 9:00 am to 10 am with a funeral mass to follow 10am-11am at Saint Ignatius of Loyola Church 322 N Ave 61 Los Angeles 90042
Burial to follow at Forest Lawn, Glendale 1712 S. Glendale Avenue, Glendale CA 91205
Motorcade Escort to burial: Lot 4333 Space 2 Court of Freedom
