Irving Wiseman

IRVING ALLAN WISEMAN

Born on April 22, 1933, in Montreal Canada, Irving Allan Wiseman passed away peacefully on Friday November 10th, 2023, in Palm Desert, California. There, he resided near his eldest daughter and daughter in-law. He was the husband of the late Marian Finkelstein and they enjoyed a vibrant 65-year marriage. Irving traversed the globe building the footwear empire Mercury International Trading Corporation, supporting his family and others in need. He lived a life of tzedakah and tikkun olam, believing in his obligation to support, serve and heal the world around him, including synagogues, museums, educational institutions, hospitals, holocaust history, arts and theatre. Son of the late Sheva and Louis Wiseman, he was father and father-in-law to Atma Wiseman and Joy Silver, Michael and Debra Wiseman, Howard and Veronica Wiseman and Tobi and Steven Marram. He had eleven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. “Papa” was the grandfather to Stephanie, Nicole, Candice, Edward, Charlotte, Matthew, (Marrissa), Giovanna, Shirley, Brooke, Joshua and Samuel. He was the great-grandfather to Mia, Mariah and Luna. Irving was the brother and brother-in-law to the late Rhoda Gorin, the late Abe Gorin and the late Sol Stober. He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law Jack and Nan Wiseman and sister Dorothy Stober.
