Irene Frances Hanke, age 90, originally from Enfield, CT, entered into Eternal Rest on September 10, 2020 in Escondido, CA. She passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family. She is preceded in death by her husband, Carl Hanke in 1971, her grandsons Jason Hanke, in 1984, and Matthew Redinius Jr., in 2004, and her son, Ronald Hanke, in 2019. She is survived by four of her five children, Irene Redinius, Carl Robert Hanke, Arthur Hanke, and Mary Clemons, as well as 17 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Irene resided in Escondido, CA for the past 27 years. She loved her family and enjoyed family gatherings. Irene was an avid Padres baseball fan and adored her animals. Her favorite flower was the gardenia, which was part of her wedding bouquet in 1947. Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Lawn, Covina Hills, California.
