Ila Mae (Compton) Proctor (May 31, 1922 – July 19, 2012) passed away peacefully with family by her side in South Gate, California. Born in Mulberry Kansas, was Valedictorian of her class in 1940. Ila was married to Clarence R. Proctor, also of Mulberry, on October 1, 1940, and enjoyed 58 years of marriage until his passing in 1998. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter and grandson and is survived by her two daughters Karen New and Susan Arnold, four grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. Services to be held Wednesday July 25, 9 a.m. at Forest Lawn in Cypress, CA.
