Hilda Solis

March 20, 1938 — July 24, 2012

On July 24, 2012, after a long illness, Hilda Solis, age 74, joined her beloved son Ed in a place where there is no pain and suffering. She was preceded in death by her eldest son just seven short months ago. Her family's grief is tempered only by the fact that mother and son are once again reunited in heaven.
Hilda arrived from Mexico to the United States as a young girl accompanied by her mother, Carmen, and her younger brother, John. It was while living in Los Angeles that she met her future husband Noe to whom she remained married for fifty-eight years. Hilda was a thoughtful and principled individual who loved life, her family and America unconditionally. She was a role model to anyone who ever faced and overcame adversity, and her loyalty devotion to those she loved was fiercely intense and undeniable. Her wit and wisdom will be sorely missed by those who love her, and we celebrate and cherish the innumerable memories which define these qualities. Hilda is survived by her eternally devoted husband, Noe, the one and only love of her life, and her two loving sons, Noe III and Jim. She also regretfully leaves behind her grandson, Steven, her granddaughters Vanessa and Denise, and their mother Cindy. She is also survived by her husband Noe's three brothers, Louis, Armando, and Manuel, all of whom loved and were loved dearly by the decedent. Hilda died at home in the presence of her loved ones and her transition was as peaceful as could be expected. Burial services will be at Forest Lawn in Covina on Friday, August 3, at 2pm. The viewing will be on Thursday evening August 2, from 5pm-9pm at Forest Lawn Covina as well.
