  • In Loving Memory of Henrietta “Etta” Racelis Wright
  • April 7, 1937 – January 24, 2026

Henrietta “Etta” Racelis Wright was born on April 7, 1937, in the idyllic town of Lucban, Quezon, Philippines, to the late Benjamin Racelis and Emerenciana Cuvinar. She lived a life marked by love, resilience, joy, and deep devotion to family.

She was the beloved wife of the late Gerald R. Wright. Their marriage was blessed with four children Marjo, Manny, Blessie, and Sharon, each of whom she cherished deeply. Through them, she found great joy in her nine grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Etta was a loving wife, a devoted and doting mother, and the heart of her family. Her sacrificial love helped build and sustain an extended family bound together by care, laughter, and faith. She was known as a trustworthy and hardworking woman, a gifted homemaker, and a wonderful cook — her famous “leche flan” was truly second to none.

She was also a loyal and faithful friend— fun to be with, full of life, a good dancer, and often the life of the party. Her warmth and joy left lasting impressions on all who knew her.

In her later years, though her mental health declined, Etta continued to fight bravely and lived life fully until the very end. She battled cancer twice and emerged victorious, endured numerous surgeries and hospitalizations, and faced each challenge with quiet strength and perseverance.

Truly the glue of the family, Etta’s final days became a sacred gift. She gathered her loved ones around her, allowing precious moments of gratitude, love, and heartfelt goodbyes. On January 24, 2026, she was peacefully ushered into the presence of God, surrounded by the family she so dearly loved.

As Scripture reminds us, “Absent from the body, present with the Lord.” (2 Corinthians 5:8)

She will be deeply missed, fondly remembered, and forever cherished.
