Henrietta Kincer

July 4, 1937 — November 3, 2025

San Juan Capistrano, CA

Henrietta was born in Los Angeles, California on July 4th, 1937, to the parents of Joseph and Anna Feole. (She was always proud to be an Independence Day baby as well as a full-blooded Italian!) She grew up in the suburbs of Alhambra, CA for most all of her childhood, along with her younger brother Richard (b. 1944). She attended Emery Park elementary school and then graduated from Alhambra High School in 1955, where she made and kept in touch with numerous friends throughout her lifetime.

In 1957 she married her high school sweetheart Derek Pope (b. 1936), resided in Riverside, CA and over the next 11+ years had two children, Jennifer (b. 1958) and Michael (b. 1968). She eventually moved to Los Alamitos, CA, divorced in 1969, began working as an executive secretary for various companies and also started dating Jack Kincer (b. 1935), a service station owner from Kentucky, all the while continuing to raise her two children. This was the era she was known as the "Lady in the Green Mustang" owing to her classic 1967 olive-green Ford Mustang. She also was talented in various hobbies such crafting, bowling, flowers, dancing, photography, and more. She could accomplish just about anything.

Henrietta's life took a tragic turn when her youngest son Michael died in May 1974 from the result of a terrible accident. Through this adversity, she married Jack in November of that same year, and later birthed another son Joey (b. 1977), retiring from work in order to become a full-time homemaker. The three of them all lived together in Cerritos, CA before moving to San Juan Capistrano, CA in 1987. She dedicated all of her time to raising Joey and helping her husband run his real estate and tax business.

In 1990 she turned to becoming an antique dealer, as she loved all things old or unique, and had several spaces throughout antique stores across south Orange County. She moved to a nearby retirement community in 1994 and continued keeping busy with her antiques, hobbies, visiting friends and family. Her parents lived until the late 1990s. One pinnacle of her life was traveling to Italy where her family heritage and roots originated, and toured the entire country in March 2001.

In 2006 she along with Jack and Joey began taking annual roadtrips across the US, covering more than 40 states over the next 12 years. Until meeting Jack, she had never stepped outside her home state, but found she absolutely loved to travel all over the country including destinations like national parks and historical places. She also learned how to use a digital camera and computer (with the help of her son) to capture the many photos she would always take.

Henrietta retired from the flailing antique business in 2012 due to the rise of the internet, but still managed to keep busy with traveling, friends and family as long as her health allowed. In 2018 she was diagnosed with Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus (NPH) which attributed to the start of her dementia. Despite procedures to try and stave off this condition, her mental state slowly declined over the next 7 years. In July 2025 she took a fall that fractured her hip, which unfortunately she couldn't recover from, and passed away shortly after midnight on November 3, 2025, at the age of 88.

She is survived by her husband Jack, brother Richard, daughter Jennifer, son Joey, stepson David, stepdaughter Debra, grandchildren Jeff and Jessie, and great grandchildren Jameson, Jackson and Carter. Arrangements are under the care of Forest Lawn in Cypress, CA. She will be buried next to her first son that passed away, and will eventually be joined by her other son in an adjacent plot when the time comes.
