Helen Monte Viste, 83, known to everyone as "Mama Helen". She was married to the most handsome husband and a loving father, Emmanuel Viste, December 26, 1960. Born in Hinunangan, Southern Leyte , Philippines and resided in Fontana, CA at the time of her passing.
They are survived by their seven children, Edgar Viste (married to Gemma Viste, 6 children and 9 grandchildren ), Edna Viste (1 son), Evelyn Lariba (married to Alberto Lariba, 2 children), Edwindell Viste (married to Lowela Viste, 3 children), Emmalyn Viste (1 daughter), Emmanuel Viste Jr. (3 sons) and Elsie Dauis (married to Aldwin Dauis, 4 children).
Mama Helen devoted her life to following God and the providing for her family both in the States and in the Philippines. Her endearing love radiated beyond her kids, to extended families and friends. She loves to sing, enjoys old John Wayne movies and the best cook in the family. She was the glue that kept the family together.
Mama Helen passed away on Friday, May 26, 2023 at Kaiser Hospital in Fontana.
Viewing for Mama Helen is Monday, June 12, 2023 from 5pm-9pm, Rosary from 6pm-6:30pm at Forest Lawn Covina Hills in the Church of Our Heritage. Memorial will be in the same place on Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at 9:30am.
