Helen Marie Lewis

Helen Marie Lewis of Covina, California was called home to heaven, on Saturday, February 27, 2021. She was the daughter of Albert & Doris Edwards Lewis. Helen was born December 9, 1966 in Covina and was the only true Southern California Lewis girl. She was a graduate of Christ Lutheran Christian School and South Hills High School. She fought a disease which ravaged her body for nearly 45 years, and she did so with a cheery disposition and smiles. She is survived by her father, Albert, sisters Jeannie Lewis of Covina and Dori Smith (Bob) of San Dimas, Marcela Montiel, niece Nicole Christman of Upland, Uncles, Aunts & Cousins in West Virginia, Ohio, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia. She was preceded in death by her mother, Doris Lewis, only 10 days prior.
A private service and interment are scheduled for March 29, 2021, at Forest Lawn Covina Hills. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation be made in her name to the Helen M. Lewis Medical Research Foundation in Covina, to a favorite church, charity, or the West Virginia University Foundation.
