Helen Sylvia Deruiter

Helen Sylvia DeRuiter, 83, born on January 1, 1938, in Lithuania, passed away April 10, 2021, from Glioblastoma (Brain Cancer)

She resided in Lake Forest, CA at the time of her passing, however, she as a long time resident living in Tujunga, CA.

Helen is survived by her sister, Renata, daughter, Diana, son, Bob and her three grandchildren, Hailey, Mikaela and Rob. She is preceded in death by her husband, Don, her parents and her sister.

She lived a wonderful life, traveling all over the world with the love of her life Don. She was collected thimbles and had such a great time with the wonderful friendships she made with that group. She loved her family and friends, she was caring, gentle, intelligent, fun and such a special person and mother.


She will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn, Glendale, California.

The graveside funeral service will be held at 9:30 Friday May 21, 2021.
