Helen Marie Bush

Helen Marie Bush, 81, passed away January 8, 2013 in her home. She was born the daughter of James Marlin Summers and Ruby Agnes Barnard on September 21, 1931 in Weldon, Arkansas. She and her family moved to Southern California in 1968 and had lived in Cypress, California since 1972. She resided in Cypress, California at the time of her passing.
Helen was preceded in death by her husband Walter Bush, November 19th of 2001, step-son, Roger Bush, February 1st, 2007, and brother Warren Long, July 8th, 2011. She is survived by her daughter Marsha Swinford (Bruce) of Cypress, California and son, Michael Bush (Teresa) of Carrollton, Texas. She is also survived by her five grandchildren, Bruce Swinford Jr., Brandon Swinford and Brittany Swinford of Cypress, CA, Madisen Bush of Carrollton, Texas; step granddaughter, Sandy Cobine of Michigan; and great grandson, Tristan Swinford of Cypress, CA. She was the sister of Lilly Mae Bacus of Arkansas, J.D. Summers of Arkansas, Riggie Toddy of Nevada, Carolyn Rich of Texas, and Jackie Long of Georgia. Helen is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and her many friends.
Helen especially enjoyed seeing her grandchildren grow up and will be sorely missed as a mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
Helen's viewing and funeral service is under the direction of Forest Lawn, Cypress, California. The viewing will be held on Friday, January 25th from 5-9 pm. The funeral service will be held January 26th at 11:30 am, followed by an interment and reception.
