Heidi Crystle O'Neill

Heidi Crystle Whitmire was born January 12, 1981 to Major William Anderson Whitmire Jr. and Mary Elizabeth Whitmire in Concord Massachusetts. She was the fifth of five children born to that union.

Heidi and her family lived on Hanscom Air Force Base in Bedford, Massachusetts until she was two years of age. After her father was assigned to the Space Systems Research and Development Division at the Los Angeles Air Force Station in El Segundo, California, the family relocated to Fountain Valley, California.

Heidi looked up to her older siblings who catered to her and took her back and forth to dance classes and soccer practices in between their own hectic swimming, soccer and academic activities. She was a kind, perceptive and quiet child. She was joy to be around. Heidi attended Newland Elementary School and Talbert Middle School in Fountain Valley.

In 1996 Heidi moved to Fontana, California where she attended Etiwanda High School in Rancho Cucamonga. During her high school years she was particularly active in youth church activities participating in outreach programs.

She graduated from Etiwanda High School in 1999. She worked as a preschool teacher assistant then preschool teacher while pursuing her education in early childhood education. Her first job was at the Cross and Crown Preschool in Rancho Cucamonga. During her 10 plus years in preschool teaching she was acknowledged by parents and staff for her excellent work with children.

She married Jason O'Neill in April of 2006. This union produced two (2) beautiful daughters: Layla, who is thirteen (13) years old, and Madison, who is ten (10) years old.

Heidi was a stay-at-home mom for approximately five years. She made sure that every birthday, Christmas, and holiday was special for her girls. She was gifted and creative in baking often making special desserts, cakes and cookies for work and home. Heidi also assisted her mother and stepfather with cooking to help serve the homeless ministry at Carver Foursquare Church located in Compton, Ca.

Heidi shared her love and trust in Christ with those around her and made sure her children had their own bibles to read.

Professionally, Heidi became a licensed esthetician in 2018, a goal she wanted to achieve for quite some time. She also was an excellent make-up artist and had a beautiful face and smile. In addition, this year (i.e. 2021) she completed all the prerequisites and work hours to become a licensed preschool teacher so that she could earn more money and increase her odds of working in the school district.

On Monday, November 1, 2021, Heidi left this life and went to be with her heavenly Father. She is pre-deceased by her father William A. Whitmire Jr. She is survived her two (2) daughters: Layla and Madison O'Neill; her mother, Mary Elizabeth Reynolds (Philip), her siblings: Noelle Whitmire, Amber Whitmire, September Whitmire- Bullock (Derrick), William Whitmire, III(Evangelia) a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended families and friends.

Heidi, your family loves you, misses you, and will never forget you! It will be difficult for us to go on without you in our lives, but God knows what is best.
