Hector "Tito" Marquez was born on June 29, 1959 in Mexico City to Martha Esparza and Abel Marquez. He passed away October 31, 2024 at the age of 65. He leaves behind Virginia wife of more than 39 years, two sons Fabian, Rene, a favorite daughter, Natalie and three grandchildren Mateo, Luna, and baby Marquez (on the way).
He grew up in Long Beach, California until age 17 when his parents moved the family to Huanusco, Zacatecas. There he finished high school and was the first of his family to attend university. He obtained his Bachelor's in Civil Engineering at the University of Zacatecas.
In 1978 he met the love of his life Virginia and they had been together ever since. Dating for 6 years while he was studying and married on July 6, 1985. Every weekend while he was in school he would take the bus 2 hours to spend time with Virginia.
After graduation he worked for the government in Zacatecas but wanting to build a better life for his family he decided to move back to Long Beach. He learned how to draft plans for houses. Eventually finding his passion in building homes from the ground up. Over the course of his life he built hundreds of homes in Long Beach and the surrounding areas along with some in Montana.
He was the favorite sibling to Sylvia, Gerardo (RIP), Abel, and Raudel. Favorite Tio to his extended family and well loved by his many friends. He would always reach out to people just to see how they were doing. He was the glue that kept his family together. He was silly, kind, and always there when we needed him.

Héctor "Tito" Márquez nació el 29 de junio de 1959 en la Ciudad de México, fue hijo de Martha Esparza y Abel Márquez. Falleció el 31 de Octubre del 2024 a la edad de 65 años. Deja a Virginia, esposa de más de 39 años, tres hijos, Fabián, René, y su hija favorita, Natalie, ademas tres nietos, Mateo, Luna, y la bebé Márquez (en camino).
Creció en Long Beach, California, hasta los 17 años, cuando sus padres se mudaron con la familia a Huanusco, Zacatecas. Allí terminó la preparatoria y fue el primero de su familia en graduarse de la universidad.
Obtuvo su diploma en Ingeniería Civil en la Universidad de Zacatecas.
En 1978 conoció a Virginia, el amor de su vida, y desde entonces han estado juntos. Salieron durante 6 años mientras él estudiaba y se casaron el 6 de Julio de 1985. Los fines de semana, mientras estudiaba, tomaba el camion de Zacatecas a Huanusco para pasar tiempo con Virginia.
Después de graduarse, trabajó para el gobierno en Zacatecas, pero con el deseo de construir una vida mejor para su familia, decidió regresar a Long Beach. Aprendió a dibujar Planos para Casas. Y con el tiempo, descubrió su pasión: Cual era construir casas desde abajo. A lo largo de su vida, construyó cientos de casas en Long Beach y sus alrededores tambien como en Montana.
Era el hermano favorito de Sylvia, Gerardo (QEPD), Abel y Raudel. Y el tío favorito de su extensa familia. Sus amigos lo apreciaban mucho. Se mantenia en contacto con todos por lo menos para saber como estaban. Era el que mantenía unida a su familia. Era chistoso, amable y siempre estaba ahí cuando lo necesitaban.
