Hector Michael Huerta

Hector Michael Huerta, 90, born on October 31, 1924, in Los Angeles, California, passed away January 30, 2015. He was survived by his loving wife Josephine, his daughter Cynthia Parent and daughter and son-in-law Ellen and Daniel Tronson, grandson Dane Tronson and his wife Laura and his granddaughter Danielle McCann and her husband Joseph, and great grandchildren Brooke Tronson and Finn McCann. He is also survived by his brothers Octavio, Raul and Carlos Huerta and sister-in-law Eloise Huerta and brother-in-law Tony Dominguez. He joined the Army in March of 1943 and was discharged in November of 1945. He received many medals and citations upon discharge from the service. After marrying the love of his life he went to Art Center. After several years of working as a commercial artist, he opened his own studio called The Art Group with two of his brothers. Eight years later they changed the name to Huerta Design Associates, which was one of the largest and finest design studios on the West Coast. He was Vice President of the L.A. Directors Club for two years. He worked as President of his company until he retired. He spent much of his free time attending and photographing his grandchildren playing their various sports over the years. He was devoted to his wife, Jo, and he was the happiest when he was with her and his family.
