Beloved daughter of Yeichi and Fumiko Nakasone, Harriet passed away suddenly from a brain stroke at her home in Coto de Caza, California. A caring and thoughtful daughter and sister, Harriet will be remembered for her sweet kindness.
Attending California State College at Long Beach, She received her Bacelors and Masters degrees in Education. Her career was highlighted by 38 years of teaching service at Cerritos College, California and a retired Captain in the United State Navy.
Harriet is predeceased by parents and brother, Fred Nakasone. She is survived by younger brother, Lester Nakasone and his wife, Momi May of Honolulu, Hawaii.
A Celebration of Life niche-side ceremony will be held at Forest Lawn-Cypress on Friday December 20, at 2:30pm. The private gathering is for relatives and "Coto" neighbors.
In lieu of flowers, the Nakasone family asks that donations go to the Paralyzed Veterans of America, www.Support Veterans.org or Omega Society of Orange County, www.info@omegasociety.com Amen.
