Captain Harold William Hopkins, 88, born on July 12, 1926 in Rumford, Maine, passed away February 11, 2015. He had resided in Tarzana, California since 1968. Captain Hopkins was the recipient of the FAA's Charles Taylor Master Mechanic Award and the Wright Brothers Master Pilot Award. He is survived by his wife of 55 years Beverly, sister in law Patricia Hopkins of Rumford, Maine and nieces and nephews Margaret Raymond of Montville, Maine, David Hopkins of Monroe, Washington, Mary Moore of Grapevine, Texas, Daniel Hopkins of West Lebanon, New Hampshire, Martha Brown of Seattle, Washington and Paul Hopkins of Bellevue, Washington. He resided in Woodland Hills, California, at the time of his passing. He and Beverly spent several of their Golden Years living and traveling across the US in their RV. Hoppy will be remembered for his love of flight, positive attitude and attention to detail. His passion for flight inspired many to safely follow him into the sky. Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills, Los Angeles, California.
