Harold Ho, 71, was born in Burma to parents, Shwe Pwe and Shwe Ping, the youngest of 7 siblings (Lihchen, Hoke, Hain, Tommy, Marina, and Gerald). He passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on July 4, 2025.
Harold immigrated to the United States in 1972, where he attended Los Angeles City College, worked as a lab assistant at the Los Angeles County Medical Center for 10 years, and as a letter carrier for the United States Postal Service for 31 years. He took great pride in his job and treated people on his mail route and co-workers like family.
Married to Florence, his wife of over 45 years, he was a loving husband as well as a devoted father to daughters, Charlene and Jennifer; dad (or pop pop) to pups Cherie, Harley, Munchie, Teacup, and Daisy; and caring uncle to more than 20 nieces and nephews. For Harold, family, friends, and food were a fundamental part of enjoying life. He always made time for people, and he always had a restaurant recommendation for you.
Whether he was talking about gardening, music, movies, YouTube, or his other great love - tennis! - he lit up the room with his kindness, energy, and laughter. He enjoyed retired life, spending each day in the company of family or friends, lending a hand, walking around the block, watching/talking about/playing tennis, spreading kindness and positivity, and living life to its fullest. To know him was to love him. While he will be greatly missed, he will live on in all of our hearts and memories forever.
The Ho family would like to thank everyone for your kind and heart-warming words of support during this difficult time. We invite you to share any stories, memories, and fond remembrances of Harold with our family.
