Harold "Hal" Berman of Beverlly Hills and Palm Desert was born on December 27, 1928 in Brooklyn, New York, to Anna and Morris Berman. He passed away on February 12, 2013. Hal had a love for music and at the age of 13 sang "Ole Man River" from Showboat at Carnegie Hall. He met Jeanette in 1948 and the couple married in March of 1949. Hal was the founder of Astro Plumbing Supply in Los Angeles and was a successful and respected pillar of the community there. He had a zest for life and his favorite expression was "It's good to be the king!" He loved going on cruises, nice cars and a good filet mignon. Most of all, he loved his wife and family. He is survived by his wife Jeanette, their children: Morey Berman and his sons Lakota and Dustin, Steven Berman married to Cynthia and their children Haley and Matthew, Brenda Berman and her daughter Alexa, Howard Berman married to Kathi and their son Miles.
