H. Rhead Lown

H. Rhead Lown, 75, born on October 11, 1946, in Portland, OR, passed away December 7, 2021 surrounded by his family. He was a resident of Ontario, CA for 50 years. Rhead was a 1968 graduate of Arizona State University. That same year he married his college sweetheart, Ruth Arnold, and moved to California to begin his teaching career at Chino High School. He taught for 28 years before deciding to make a career change and become self-employed as a photographer, his true passion. He loved photography and being involved in all forms of it including weddings, graduations, parties and commercial work. After his retirement, he found many ways to keep busy like upgrading his and Ruth's home, working in the yard, growing a vegetable garden and sharing his wonderful veggies with family and friends, concerts, Rancho Cucamonga Quakes baseball (he loved Tremor!), movies and being with family.

Rhead was preceded in death by his parents Lt. Col. Herman D. and Mildred Lown and brother David H. Lown.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth, of 53 years; son Scott and daughter-in-law Susie; sisters-in-law Deborah Fisk and Toni Lown; brothers-in-law Bob and Tom Arnold and Tom's wife Cindy; several nieces and nephews.

Rheadie, you will be missed forever--until we meet again.
