Guadalupe Velazquez

Our Beloved Mother died Monday Morning (03/09/26, our family reflects on the remarkable life of my beloved mother, who was two month short of turning 99 years old.

Born in the vibrant city of Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico, she embodies resilience and strength in every sense.

Her journey has been one of extraordinary determination and love. Widowed twice, she bravely navigated the challenges of raising ten children, instilling in us values of family, faith, and fortitude. As the matriarch of our clan, baptized in 1970, she not only nurtured us but also guided us towards the path of spirituality, introducing us to the profound teachings of the Church of God.

In 1995, she embraced a new chapter in her life by becoming a US citizen, a testament to her unwavering commitment to her adopted home. Through the myriad of changes life has presented, her faith has remained steadfast, a beacon of hope and inspiration for us all.

Her legacy extends far beyond her immediate family, touching the lives of twenty-two grandchildren and twenty-four great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild, each one a testament to her enduring love and influence.

She is survived by four sons Joseph, Richard Robert, John and two daughters, Margaret and Julie and many grand kids. great grand kids and one great -great grandchild. As we reflect on her journey, we are reminded of the profound impact she has had on shaping our lives. Her strength, her resilience, and her unwavering faith are a testament to the power of the human spirit.”
