Graciela “Grace” Martinez, 84, of Cypress, passed away peacefully on October 22, 2025. She was born on February 15, 1941, in Gómez Palacio, Durango, Mexico.

Grace came to the United States in 1971 and was a proud resident of Cypress for over 24 years. She was a devoted mother and a woman deeply rooted in her faith.

She is survived by her daughters Graciela, Hilda, and Claudia; her grandchildren Christian, Cesar, Grace, Ana, Alex, Roxanna, Michael, and Gabrielle; and her great-grandchildren Luna, Eva, Sophia, Sergio, Mia, and Diego.

Grace was known for her strong work ethic and dedication. She worked at Hyatt Die Cast for 50 years as a QC Inspector, where she was respected for her precision, dependability, and pride in her craft.

She never missed Sunday Mass and was a devoted member of her parish. Her garden, always blooming with color, was her pride and joy — a reflection of the care and love she poured into everything she touched. She loved to travel and collected bells from each place she visited, each one a reminder of her sense of wonder and appreciation for life’s little moments.

Grace had a joyful spirit and a heart that drew people in. She had a gift for making others feel seen and valued — always the first to reach out, to check in, and to offer words of encouragement. Her love for her family was constant and unconditional.

Among her family’s fondest memories were the casino trips they shared together. Grace’s laughter filled every visit, and her quick steps made her hard to catch between slot machines. Those playful moments perfectly reflected her vibrant spirit — the same warmth that shone through in her hugs, her gentle kisses, and the comfort of her presence.

Grace’s joy for life especially shined during the holidays. From Valentine’s Day through the New Year, she found endless happiness in decorating, gifting, and celebrating each season. Her warmth and love filled every space she was in, turning each celebration into a reflection of her spirit and devotion to family.

Her legacy lives on through the lessons she taught, the faith she lived by, and the love she gave so freely. She will be remembered for her strength, her kindness, and the light she brought into every room.
