Gordon Andahl

Gordon Andahl, 84, was born September 2, 1938, in Artesia, CA, to Grant and Patricia Andahl and is survived by his wife, Mary Ann, son, Gordon, son-in-law, Andre, one remaining sister-in-law, Darlene and many nieces, nephews and cousins.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Grant and Patricia Andahl and brother, Tom.  Gordon passed away July 22, 2023 in Cypress, CA, a home he and Mary Ann shared for 55 years.  

Gordon had a long and varied career with Orange County Social Services and after retirement from Orange County, he worked for San Bernardino County as a Social Services Deputy Director in the Department of Aging and Adult Services for two years.  

Gordon's secondary passion was renovating old and unique cars.  He developed life-long friendships here and around the country in that pursuit.  Gordon and Mary Ann had a comfortable life and enjoyed the company of family and friends world-wide.  The family wants all to know he loved life, enjoyed every moment and always said, "we lived during the best years ever."  We would like all to know he not only passed, but, more importantly, he lived.  

Arrangements are under the care of Forest Lawn, Cypress, CA.
