Goharik Baghdasari

Goharik "Seda" Baghdasari, 93, was born on March 30, 1927, in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, she passed away February 7, 2021.

Due to the Russian Revolution her family was forced to immigrate to Qazvin, Iran when she was 2 years old.

Her parents, Simon and Arpenik Baghdasarian, had two children Goharik and Edik.
Goharik's middle name was Seda which is the name her family and friends addressed her with.

Her cousins Raffik and Bella were like brother and sister to Goharik.
Seda completed her high school degree, she was very smart and would manage not just our family affairs but also helped everyone else in the community. She married Garoush Toroian on January 28, 1948 in Qazvin, Iran and within a couple of years they moved to Tehran, Iran.

They raised 3 children, Varouj the eldest, Arman and Hilda. Seda was a dedicated mother and spouse, she was business savvy, had a beautiful voice and loved her homeland Armenia. She fell in love with the United States and its people.

In 2006, they or she immigrated to California and resided their or her family in Glendale where she lived in her own condominium on Jackson St.
Seda had a very difficult life, but she always handled her problems with her famous smile.

She fought Alzheimer's starting in 2005 and lived with it until she lost her life due to COVID-19 in 2021.
She passed away peacefully in her own home surrounded by her loved ones.

Seda is survived by her three children - Varouj in Iran, Arman in San Jose, Hilda in Long Beach and two grandchildren - Raffi and Marcel.

Funeral is going to be a grave side service for close family and friends. Date is going to be March 26 at Forest Lawn, Hollywood Hills, California.
