Glorienda Fernando

Glorienda Fernando, 83, born on April 26, 1934, in Pilar, Bataan, Philippines, passed away May 28, 2017. She resided in Cerrtios, California with her children and grandchildren. Her funeral arrangements are under the direction of Forest Lawn. Glorienda was mostly known as "Mama" to our family. She was the eldest daughter, or "Ate", in her family; with three surviving siblings in the Philippines and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and godchildren. Mama was always loved and endeared by her family and friends. Mama had an incomparable faith in God, even as a little girl and all throughout her adult life. She has been a devout Roman Catholic and a devotee to the Nazarene. Her unwavering faith had kept her strong throughout all her hardships and difficulties in life, especially with the passing of Papa. Mama was an example to us everyday by showing us that when you have faith in God and trust everything in Him, you can overcome all the suffering in life. Mama is a mother and grandmother that we will truly miss. We will pray for her always and remember all that she has done for us. Mama will be in our hearts forever.
