Gloria P. Zarkos

Gloria Prevas Zarkos peacefully passed away November 20, 2017. She is survived by her sister, Bertha; grandchildren, Frank (Sara), Jennifer, Kathryn (Brad), Krista, and Dionna; her great-grandson, Ethan; her son-in-law, George, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Pete; husband, Frank; son, Constantine: and daughter, Margo.
Gloria was born in Baltimore, MD to James and Mary Prevas. She was unfaltering in her devotion to her family and her love of her children and grandchildren. She was a mentor to all. She was very active in her community and church, serving as a member of Philoptochos, the Daughters of Penelope, and the Red Hat Society.
An international traveler, Gloria also enjoyed spending her time at home sewing and cooking and passed her expertise in both areas on to her grandchildren. Her love of life and indomitable spirit lives on in each of them.
A viewing will take place on Monday, November 27 from 5-7pm at the Assumption of Blessed Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church in Long Beach. The funeral service will start on Tuesday, November 28 at 10am at the church.
