Gloria was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who loved her family deeply. She married her beloved husband, Richardo Santos, for 53 years until he passed away in 2015. Gloria is survived by her four sons (Eric, Rod, Fred, and Jerry), daughter (Sarah), ten grandkids, and two great-grandkids. Her love and care knew no bounds, and she was a mother figure to countless others, providing guidance and love to all who sought her counsel.
Gloria Santos is an extraordinary woman who pursued a dual degree at the esteemed University of Santo Thomas. She obtained both a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Philosophy degree, showcasing her versatility and thirst for knowledge. These degrees served as the bedrock of her illustrious career. Beginning her career as a nurse at Ortanez Hospital in Quezon City, Philippines, Gloria's compassion and proficiency earned her the admiration of patients and colleagues alike. Her commitment to patient care and a thirst for advancing her skills led her to pursue a master's degree in Nursing, cementing her status as a highly qualified professional in the medical field.
As a testament to her prowess in the nursing domain, Gloria was invited to share her expertise as a professor at Far Eastern University (FEU). For several years, she molded the minds of aspiring nurses, imparting not only theoretical knowledge but also the values of empathy and dedication that define the nursing profession.
Gloria was also an exceptional leader who made significant contributions to the educational framework at Martinez Nursing School, where she served as Assistant Dean. Her nurturing and guidance of aspiring nursing leaders helped shape the future of nursing.
After moving to the United States, Gloria continued to make a lasting impact on the lives of countless young patients and their families while working at Children's Hospital. Her unwavering commitment to excellence earned her the respect and gratitude of patients and colleagues.
Gloria's warm and loving presence made her the heart of every family gathering. Her memory will forever be cherished, and the values she instilled in her family and those she touched during her nursing career will continue to inspire and guide future generations. As we say goodbye to our dear mom, Gloria Santos, let us remember her with gratitude for her beautiful life. Rest in peace, mom.
