Glenn Adonis Rico

May 9, 1962 — August 6, 2025

Glenn Adonis Rico, a dedicated advocate for the environment and loving family man, passed away on August 6, 2025, at the age of 63 in Los Angeles, California. Born on May 9, 1962, in the Philippines, Glenn’s life was a tapestry woven with love, commitment, and purpose.

Glenn’s remarkable career was marked by his unwavering dedication to public service within the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) in the Philippines. His roles as both a CENRO and PENRO allowed him to champion environmental laws and regulations, leaving an indelible mark on the communities he served. As a natural leader, he inspired his colleagues with his commitment to environmental stewardship and empowered those around him through education and advocacy. His love for nature was evident not only in his professional life but also in his personal passions.

He later continued his career in the United States as a Medical Coder Analyst, showcasing his adaptability and determination, which defined his entire life. Glenn earned both his Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees at the University of the Philippines, Los Baños, after completing his high school education at Tagum National High School, underlining his value for education and growth.

Beyond his professional achievements, Glenn was a loving, kind, and generous individual. He had an infectious sense of humor, often lighting up the room with dad jokes that will be remembered fondly by all who knew him. His generosity extended deeply into his family life, where he was a devoted father, husband, and grandfather, relishing every moment spent with his loved ones. He loved cooking for his family and enjoyed going out with them. Music played a significant role in his life as well; Glenn had a passion for playing the guitar and singing especially with his family, which brought joy not just to himself, but to everyone around him.

He is survived by his beloved family: his mother, Rosalinda Rico; daughters Joan Dale Rico and Roselle Dyan Rico; sons Lyndon Glyde Rico and Horace Lyle Rico; and granddaughter Aria Deia Hernandez. Each of them carries a piece of Glenn's spirit, exemplifying love and care in their daily lives much like he did.
