DAD was DAD! And even though things weren't always perfect and we didn't exactly have the perfect family dynamics he did the best he could with what he had to offer. He always supported his children through life's tribulations good, bad and in between and although sometimes we agreed to disagree we could always count on him. He loved his children and grandchildren unconditionally. He was well known for his love of cooking for family and friends. Gilbert's love of cooking provided nourishment for the soul. He was a storyteller, a jokester and did not shy away from talking about any topic. He had the gift of a truth teller with a kind heart. He was straightforward but his lighthearted antics had family and friends in tears from laughter. He loved music and dancing. He loved to surround himself with flowers and plants. He always felt they gave him energy and life.
The family would like to thank everyone that has surrounded them with their love and prayers during this difficult time. They greatly appreciate it and definitely feel all the love and support.
