Gilbert Smith Jacobi, Sr.

March 14, 1924 — August 7, 2015

Gilbert Smith Jacobi, Sr, 91, born on March 14, 1924, in Los Angeles, California, passed away August 7, 2015. He resided in La Cañada, California at the time of his passing. Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Lawn, Glendale, California.

Gilbert was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He could always be found with a smile on his face and a story to tell. He was very proud of his military service as a naval pilot and his later career with Sparklets. Above everything he was a family man and worked his entire life to provide all that he could to those he loved. He was naturally social, and continued working after retirement well into his 80's, providing information and companionship to the visitors of Forest Lawn. He made lasting friends wherever he went and will be deeply missed by those who knew him.
