Gertrude E. "Trudy" (Gay) Robertson, 68, a resident of Plaistow for eighteen years and a former resident of Newton for seventeen years, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, June 1 at Exeter Hospital with her beloved husband of thirty-eight years, John W. Robertson, by her side.

Born in Gloucester, MA on October 28, 1947, she was raised and educated in Wilmington, MA and graduated from Wilmington High School. Trudy retired from McKesson Corp of Methuen after forty-two years of service.

She thoroughly enjoyed shopping and country music and had recently taken up knitting, and crocheting. She was also devoted to her beloved cats.

In addition to her husband, John W. Robertson, she is survived by her mother, Catherine Mason of Methuen, four sisters, Rosemary Deane of Davie, FL, Gail Bedrosian and her husband Dennis of Newburyport, Cindy Martin and her husband Ken of Warren, RI, and Janice Kozlowski of Gloucester, MA, and five brothers, Kenneth Mason and his wife Ginny of Londonderry, NH, Charles Gay and his wife Claire of Oxford, ME, Lenny Gay of Tyngsboro, MA, Alan Letts and his wife Barbara of Cincinnati, OH, and Timothy Gay and his wife Peg of Salem, NH. She is also survived by her longtime friend, Carl Deane, her sister-in-law, Sissy Gay of Gloucester, and her beloved cat, Dutchess. She was predeceased by her sister, Kathleen Mason and her father, Vernon A. Mason.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Trudy's Life Celebration on Monday, June 6 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main Street, Plaistow, NH. Her funeral service will take place on Tuesday, June 7 at 10 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Plaistow Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The MSPCA at Nevins Farm, 400 Broadway, Methuen, MA.
